WHO TAKES SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING?

Volunteers (18 and over) whose ministries can involve children, as well as Clergy, Deacons, Religious and Seminarians, and Employees must take the Safe Environment training, either online or in diocesan workshops. Youths 14 and over who work serve as aides, working directly with younger children, must also take the training.

  

  

WHO TAKES THE CALIFORNIA ABUSE AND NEGLECT REPORTING LAW TRAINING (MANDATED REPORTER)?

All employees, including Clergy, Deacons, Religious Men and Women, Deacon Candidates and Seminarians must take 'The California Abuse and Neglect Reporting Law' training, either online or in approved workshops. Volunteers who must take the training include Catechists, Youth Ministers, Scout Leaders, Coaches, Tutors, or any other volunteer who teaches or trains minors. All other volunteers are welcome to take this training. Please note that it is the parish or school's discretion whether to include other volunteers in this training.
